Fallen tree is a piece I felted after spending a lot of my time walking locally in the Cotswolds. I decided to create a woodland felted landscape. I love using found natural materials, I stumbled across this huge piece of bark and decided to incorporate it within my piece. This wood bark forms the centre piece with felting around and over .There are lavender fields in the distance with the tree branches and twigs intertwining around the fallen tree and bright pink flowers growing alongside in the foreground. It was a fun and experimental piece to work on, giving me great joy. Hopefully it inspires you and resonates in the wonder of our local landscapes, however ordinary them may seem. This woodland felted landscape I named Fallen Tree measures 50cm x 50cm, including the frame is 52cm x 52cm.
