Product Description
I stayed at a retreat centre high in the Italian Alps, with breathtaking views, crisp cold air but inspiration for sketching. I spent days sketching in the area, choosing which sketches to then attempt in needle felt, this is one of them. A view looking across the mountains at a tiny chocolate box cottage immersed in the encroaching forest. I wondered what living there must be like, especially during the winter months. It was one of those villages with an ageing population, so there was a scheme to enable buyers to pay just £1000 for a property if they could bring it back to a good standard. Made some of my colleagues at the retreat think about holiday homes….. much too isolated I would think. This small piece framed is 25cmx25cm, the actual felted area is13cmx13cm.
