Jungle elephant sanctuary is a smaller piece I felted after visiting the sanctuary in Phuket with my My daughter . We spent a morning walking through the jungle with this friendly female. She had such a happy disposition, obviously loved her new life after being rescued. It was such a pleasure to spend time with these beautiful, sometimes traumatised elephants in their natural environment. We walked through uneven jungle terrain, they were so aware of our presence, so gentle as they walked besides us , careful not to tread on us under the watchful eyes of the mahmuts. In the afternoon we were able to swim with and bathe the elephants, it was incredible , one of the stand out moments of not only the trip but my entire life. Now I totally adore the amazing intelligence of these giants of the jungle and hope to go back to a sanctuary again sometime.
