I spent a Saturday in early February visiting the quintessential Cotswold village of Burford. I took a photo from the bridge over the river Windrush , later producing this scene in needle felt. The colours are subtle and the wool is layered in translucent blocks to capture the quality of water and textures of the foliage. The golden hues of the stone cottage sit quietly in the background as if witnessing the tranquillity of the scene.
