This piece of art work was made as a result of visiting the botanical gardens Calella de Palafrugell In the Costa Brave region of Spain, I took photos of the sea below, from the cliff top view in the botanical gardens . As I looked down through the trees the view was spectacular, I knew it needed capturing.
The art work of botanical gardens Calella distinguishes the bright blue hues of the sea, with finer white threads representing the waves which ripple out from the boat . In contrast are the darker tones of the foliage and cacti in the foreground of the picture which jump out at the viewer in3D.
It was a very serene spot, silent except for the waves lapping to and fro. Botanical gardens Callela measures 50cm x 50cm framed, the actual felted area is 30cmx 30cm.
